Alas, we gave Habitat coffee a try after passing by it so many times. But it was a tad too much like home-cooked brunch so am not going back again. The truffle fries were such a disappointment even the big portion couldn’t make up for it.

Oh well, there’s always a new brunch place to explore every other week. & that’s if the lazy bum in us (mostly me) don’t act up on the weekends. Cannot wait for the weekends to come again!

Hello to turning 24

Every time this year, i always start to feel extremely thankful to whoever is up there, keeping me & ALL my love ones safe throughout the whole year. Partly cause when i’m getting gifts, i am thinking of them & it reminds me of all the good times we’ve had. Especially for the many big things that happened this year:

• awesome club-hotel gathering with polypeeps
• end of months of fun & bumming around
• getting great opportunities from the bosses to learn everything within my job scope
• welcoming a new family member am still excited about this
• passing of beloved Grandma
• a trip to Shanghai
• dear miao miao’s wedding (that we nearly missed!)
• christmas get togethers
• countless of food treats for the tummy

I guess the most impactful one was the loss of a dear one but you know what, she’s always here, really. & the loss has brought us closer to the whole LIMs in a small way.

In anycase, i am thankful for yet another great year & am of course excited to welcome twenty-twelve! May we stay happy, healthy & all safe

The time of year where lists are too important!

It was christmas, this coming weekend new year & then Chinese new year soon! Cant believe how fast the year is ending & it is definitely time to churn out a to-do-list:

• arrange make up kit (actually it’s the whole room)
• pack my cupboard! Did i say sissy is off to US for 3 weeks again? Woohoo!
• clean the mirror
• clean the suede babies
• keep away the xmas gifts
• dust off the layer on my table & office desk (especially the keyboard o.o)
• collect all the parcels
• buy CNY goodies for the boy’s fam
• that’s quite abit for now!

Adios, i will see how many can be ticked off before CNY 2012!

Am super thankful we were there to witness this cute couple’s wedding on Christmas Eve : ) The four of us grew up together so it was just extra meaningful. May you two have a blissful marriage my dear ♥

This is how you should start your weekends; yummy comfort food that dont cause you a bomb & even better when you discover that their sides are equally delish! Everytime we head down to Meng’s for their bar chor mee i always see people ordering the thai tofu & fried wanton. Today i finally succumb to the temptation & boy it was goood! The thai tofu is especially nice cause its crispy on the outside & super soft on the inside! Am never gonna go without it the next time we visit again.
